Studio Trevelyan is a London-based multidisciplinary studio focusing primarily on limited edition design pieces. It was set up in 2009 by Australian designer Charles Trevelyan. For more information go to about.
Whilst acting primarily to produce design pieces and bespoke commissions for founder Charles Trevelyan, the studio also offers a range of services related to the production of limited edition design pieces for other clients, acting as a consultant on every stage of design and manufacturing process. We also design both bespoke commissions and interiors, and work with manufacturing companies on furniture and lighting products.
Studio founder Charles Trevelyan is currently represented by Carpenters Workshop Gallery, and has been working with them for almost a decade on a range of projects. The current collection, Aspects, is to be launched in London in 2017 and will be available exclusively through the gallery.
The studio also works on exhibition projects, and designs production furniture and lighting for companies such as Decode London. We are happy to consider commissions and bespoke pieces for private clients. Please contact the studio for more information.
Studio Trevelyan has recently broadened its scope to include residential and commercial interior projects. We design built-in or bespoke furniture and lighting pieces as elements of a larger project, or can offer a full interior design service.
With almost ten years experience in production of limited edition design pieces and artworks, Studio Trevelyan provides a consultancy service for artists and galleries to help them realise their works. We have strong links to production facilities ranging from CNC machining to fine art castings, and can facilitate the production process if required.
Since 2009 Charles Trevelyan has produced a series of limited editions design pieces for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, and one-off bespoke pieces for private clients. For more information and a full list of recent editions, go to editions. For sales enquiries please contact the gallery directly.

We have recently expanded our capabilities to take on bespoke commercial furniture and interiors. We work with architects and manufacturers to deliver interior schemes and bespoke furniture and lighting for a range of projects.
Studio Trevelyan has acted as a consultant for leading galleries and artists to assist them in the design, production development and manufacture of limited edition design pieces and artworks. Working on either a specific stage of the process or following an entire project through from start to finish, we can combine our expertise with the manufacturing capabilities of the production companies we work with to deliver the finished work.
For the majority of projects we are involved at every stage of the design process, from initial conceptual work, through to design development and ultimately production management, working closely with the manufacturer(s) to ensure that the initial design concept is fully realised. While we specialise and the field of limited edition and sculptural furniture and lighting, our work has expended to cover both production furniture pieces and fine art works including large public commissions.
The studio considers model-making, physical testing and prototyping to be integral aspects of its design process, and to that end has in-house model-making and 3D printing facilities. For almost every project the studio works on, physical models are produced either to test aspects of the design, or to act as presentation aides for the client. We work extensively with material samples, and strongly encourage testing and experimentation to develop a unique final output.
With twelve years experience of the design and production of furniture, lighting and artworks, and a background in engineering and materials science, we are able to offer expertise and oversight of the whole production process, specialising in unique or challenging projects.
